Gregory Lee Stanford age 43 passed away March 7, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born September 14, 1973 in Huntingdon, TN, the son of Lonnie and Betty Hixon Stanford. He went to school in Huntingdon and graduated Huntingdon High School in 1993 and Jackson State in 1994 and Michigan State University in 2002 with studies in Business and Leadership Management. He worked at Delta Faucet for twenty years and had worked at Premier Manufacturing for the past two years. He married Tina Downing in 1997. They made their home in Henderson. He loved camping, fishing and going on vacations with his family.
Mr. Stanford is survived by his wife, Tina Marie Downing Stanford; two sons, Chase Stanford (fiancée Haley) of Finger and Chad Neely of Finger; a daughter, Aubrey Quertermous (Gunner) of Austin, NV; two grandchildren; Aibigail Elizabeth Neely and Kamiryn Annette Neely; a brother, Mark Stanford (Brandi) of Cedar Grove, TN; a stepbrother, Andy Carroll of Huntingdon and a stepsister, Carol Arnold of Huntingdon; mother-in-law, Marie Downing and father-in-law, Joe Downing.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gabriel Buchanan in 2014.
Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Saturday March 11, 2017 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Lewis Young officiating. Burial will follow in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM Saturday.
