Mr. Gregory G. Smothers, age 49, of Carbon Hill passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Walker Baptist Medical Center. There are no services scheduled at this time. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Wayne Smothers, Sr.; brother, Mitchell Wayne Smothers, Jr.; brother-in-law, Keith Garrison; niece, Brittany McFarland; and nephew, Michael McGuff.
He is survived by his mother, Pamela Smothers of Carbon Hill, AL; sisters, Kimberly Smothers of Jasper, AL. and Kristy Freeman (John) of Jasper, AL; brother, Mike Smothers (Brittany S.) of Morrisonville, IL; daughters, Haley Smothers (Slader Cagle) of Jasper, AL, Shaelyn Smothers of Jasper, AL and Emily Smothers of Jasper, AL; son, Elijah Smothers of Carbon Hill, AL; grandson, Zayden Cagle of Jasper, AL; mother of his children, April Smothers of Jasper, AL; uncles, Philip Kilpatrick (Becky) and Eddie Smothers of Walker Co., AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
