Family will be receiving friends at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home, on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 1 until 2 p.m. Funeral service will follow in the Kilgore-Green Chapel at 2 p.m., with burial at Gray-Odom Memorial. Jessica Bice Hennessey and Jennifer Bice Fuller will officiate.
Greg was born in St. Louis, MO. He grew up in Parrish, graduated from Parrish High School in 1982. He attended the U.S. Air Force Academy where he played baseball, graduating in 1987. Over 23 years of service to the U.S. Air Force, Greg served in every conflict from 1987 – 2010. He spent time as a pilot, drone operator, unit commander, instructor pilot, and assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force. Greg was twice awarded the Jumper Award as the top pilot in the Air Force. During his distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force, Greg was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with a V-device, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Aerial Achievement Medal, USAF Combat Action Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NATO Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal/Kingdom on of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait Liberation Medal/Government of Kuwait.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Harbin; sister, Shannon Harbin; and grandparents, Odisand Itera Harbin, Robert and Marie Bice and Little Charlie Campbell; aunt Gail Duncan and uncle Alvin Campbell.
He is survived by his mother, Janice Harbin; brothers, Eric Harbin (Stacey) and Joe Harbin (Tara), Aunts and Uncles, Paulette Randolph (Billy), Carlotta Dollar (Paul), June Hall, Janet Harbin, Bill Bice, Johnny Bice (Kaye), James Campbell (Anita), David Harbin (Charlene), Robert Duncan and Bo Harbin (Beverly) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
