Gregory David Richardson, 60, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at his home with family. Visitation will be Sunday, August 13, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Eddie Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Greg was born in Lauderdale County but grew up and lived most of his life in Sheffield. He graduated from Sheffield High School in 1981, and attended Muscle Shoals Tech for four years, getting a degree in electricity. Greg attended Northwest Shoals Community College for two years. He was employed with North American Lighting since February 5, 2007, as a multi-craft maintenance technician.
Greg was a member of Grace House Church, Florence, AL, and was baptized at the age of fifty. He loved Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Greg was a kind and loving friend, father, son, brother, and husband. He worked very hard and was a very good provider for his family. He left behind his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Mary Beth; sons, Lee David and Roy Adam; mother, Katherine; brother, Shannon; and nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by his father, David Richardson; sister-in-law, Debbie Richardson; and grandparents, John and Mildred Richardson and W.K. and Clara Rogers Clemons.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Richardson, Jason Kujath, Billy Kilgoar, Curtis Kilgoar, Mark Jennings, and Chris Boston.
