Gregory Allen Couch, 61, of Town Creek Alabama was born on August 31, 1960 to William Lawrence Couch and Shirley Ann (Wright) Couch both deceased in Decatur, Alabama.
Greg loved his family more than anything. He worked hard his entire life and was quick to help any neighbor, friend, or stranger in need. The man loved sitting on the sidelines watching and coaching all of his children in their sports, from softball to cheerleading he was always their biggest fan. His favorite place to be was sitting on the beach with his beloved wife. He loved the outdoors and was often found gardening, boating, fishing, hunting or walking his pups (Rusty and Roxie) He was a man of many talents… welding, woodworking, mechanical work, lawn care, you name it the man could fix it. He welcomed everyone into his home with open arms and had many, many, “bonus children” as he called them when speaking of his children’s friends he was a graduate of Decatur High School.
He is survived by his wife Diane Hames Couch, children Christi Couch (Daughter) Patricia (Peedie) Couch Hillis (Daughter) Matthew (Scotty) Hillis (Son in law), Elizabeth Couch Smith (Daughter) ,Jeremy Smith (Son in law), Katy Couch Johnson (Daughter) , BJ Johnson (Son in law), Samantha Whitaker (Daughter)
Joe Whitaker (Son), Andrea Whitaker (Daughter in law).
Sister and Brothers Debbie (Couch) Smith (Keith), Billy Couch (Lisa), Bobby Couch (Jessie)
And numerous nieces and nephews. Grandchildren Michael Hillis, Shelby Ivey, Devin Clader (preceded in death), Marqus Dunn,Kirsten Whitaker. Trevin Smith, Taytum Smith, Cayson Whitaker.
