Funeral service for Greg “Rog” Jones, 55, will be Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Larkin officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones died on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. He was born June 6, 1969, in Morgan County, to Dwight D. Jones and Mary Lane Maxwell Jones. He was employed by Maxwell Wood Works as a Carpenter, prior to his passing. Mr. Jones attended Union Church of Christ. He loved people and spending time with family and friends most of all. He was known around the community as a “Rocket City Redneck – (Rog)”. He absolutely loved music and was extremely intelligent even though he liked to present himself as a simple country man. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Dwight Jones and by his brother, Christopher Colt “Mickey” Jones.
