Grant-Vosburgh-1442837459Grant Vosburgh, 60, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2015 with his loving wife Robin Foster Vosburgh at his bedside. The son of the late Dr. George S. Vosburgh Jr. and Marilyn W. King of Tryon, NC, he was a graduate of Tryon High School, the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill and received a masters from Vanderbilt University. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Justin Crosby Vosburgh of Greenville, SC; a daughter, Amelia (Amy) Layne Vosburgh of Pulaski, TN; two older brothers, George ‘Kip’ Shibley Vosburgh III of Tryon, NC and Stowell ‘Toby’ Wasson Vosburgh of Mint Hill, NC; one nephew and four nieces. He recently retired as Director of Communications from Martin Methodist College after fifteen years of service. Grant was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church community, where he served as an elder and sang in the choir. He was a long time member of the Rotary Club, where he served as a past president and was a Paul Harris fellow. Grant was a devoted volunteer for the American Cancer Society for nearly twenty years, and was rewarded for his effort and leadership with the National St. George Award, which is the highest award given to Relay for Life volunteers. A memorial service will be held on the Green at Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, TN. Details to follow.
