Grant Hill Profile Photo Grant Hill, passed away suddenly after a brief illness on January 3, 2024, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at the age of 68.

Grant was born on August 5, 1955, in Florence, AL, the son of the late Eulas and Ona Lamb Hill.

He had a fulfilling career as the Purchasing Agent for Jackson Die Casting before retiring. During his time at the company, he demonstrated professionalism and excellence in his work. Grant’s dedication and commitment left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the organization.

Outside of his career, Grant had many hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He had a passion for golf and could often be found pursuing this leisure activity with enthusiasm. Tennessee sports held a special place in Grant’s heart; he enjoyed following and supporting local sports teams. Another favorite pastime of Grant’s was grilling; he loved cooking up delicious meals for family gatherings and get-togethers. Additionally, Grant had an unwavering love for history and enjoyed immersing himself in the pages of historical documentaries.

Grant’s warm personality and kind-hearted nature endeared him to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his generosity, humor, and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. Grant’s love for his family was evident through his close relationships with his relatives.

Grant is survived by his loving wife, Rita Taylor Hill of Jackson, TN. his sisters, Carolyn Michael and her husband J.C. of Leoma, TN and Delores Green and her husband Harry of McMinnville, TN; brother-in-law Jimmy Taylor and his wife Jill of Jackson, TN; brother-in-law Mike Taylor and his wife Kathy of Fayetteville, GA; brother-in-law Scotty Taylor of Cleveland, TN; brother-in-law Richard Taylor and his wife Kristen of West Palm Beach, FL; sister-in-law Cathy Smith and her husband Ricky of Pulaski, TN; brother-in-law Kenny Ray Johns; and nieces and nephews Alex Taylor, Adam Taylor, Kim Faught, Kerra Herndon, Hailey Taylor, Cory Johns, Troy Green, April Buttrum, Jay Michaels, Ginger Moore, and Bryan Green.

Along with his parents, Grant was preceded by a sister, Gladys Johns.

SERVICES:  To honor Grant’s life and pay our respects, visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024. beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors.

A funeral service to celebrate Grant’s life will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Alex Taylor, Brian Faught, Bailey Herndon, Henry Hill, Austen Green and Jay Michaels.

Grant Hill’s departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him. However, his memory will forever live on through the love he shared with his family and friends. May we find comfort in remembering the joyful moments we had with him and honor his legacy by embodying the kindness and compassion he exemplified throughout his life.
