Graveside service for Bishop Gradon James ‘Chick’ Chandler, 93, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 4th, 2021 at Berlin Cemetery.

Bishop Chandler passed away Tuesday, August 31st, 2021 at Cullman Regional Hospital. He was born July 14, 1928 to Franklin Edward Benjamin & Josie Campbell Chandler. Chick and Carla faithfully served the Church of God in various leadership capacities for over 70 years. Chick was well known by his fellow ministers and was a mentor to literally thousands of ministers over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Galen James Chandler; sister and brother-in-law, Donnie & Frelon Harbison; brothers, Harry Chandler, Clois Chandler; brothers-in-law, Howard Barnett, Buddy White.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Carla Jean Chandler; sons, Adriel (Naomi) Chandler, Edward (Carla) Chandler; daughter, Darla (Jerry) Shepherd, Dorinda (Dave) Moore; sisters, Eloise Barnett, Margie White; sisters-in-law, Wynell Chandler, Linda Chandler; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; host of family and friends.
