Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Gracie Christine Elliott Reed, age 74, of Decherd. Mrs. Reed passed from this life on September 30, 2021 while at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. She worked for many years before retiring as the Quality Assurance Inspector at M-Tech. She had a fierce passion for shopping, yard sales, sewing and was known best for her cooking. She was the “neighborhood cook” and enjoyed cooking for her neighbors. She loved her family and was such a devoted mother and grandmother. She was married to Hollis Reed for 55 years before his passing in 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Elliott; sister, Margaret Louise Elliott; brothers, Arnold David Elliott, and half-brother, Luther Elliott. She leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her passing, her daughter, Kathy Nace and her husband, Michael of Unionville, TN; son, William Charlie Reed and his wife, Kelly of Decherd; grandchildren, Katie (TJ) Fraley, Tony (Hayley) Reed, Travis Pack, Trevor Givens, Jaydon Reed, Alexis Reed; great grandchildren, Leena Fraley, Kaylie Jones, Sawyer Reed, Skylar Reed; half-sisters, Betty Jo Bradford, Dorothy Poff, both of Decherd, Mary Hill of Winchester; brothers, J. C Elliott and his wife Joyce of Shelbyville, Tom Elliott and his wife Louise of Huntland and half-brother, Oscar Elliott. Visitation will be held on Saturday October 2, 2021 from 11:00-3:00 o’clock at Watson-North Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Sunday October 3, 2021 at 3:00 o’clock in the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd with pallbearers be served by family and friends.
