Grace “Tootsie” Waddell, age 79 of Muscle Shoals, died Monday, November 19, 2012. Visitation will be Wednesday, noon until 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim Martin officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Tootsie lived most of her life in Tuscumbia and worked many years for Thompson’s Florist. She was a member of Grace Life Church and is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Waddell and her parents, Doug and Gladys Curry.
She is survived by her sister, Sandra Harper and husband Sam of Muscle Shoals, Bernice Solomon and husband Jim of Memphis; niece, Vicki Odom and husband Murphy of Memphis; nephews, Douglas Young and wife Sonya of Birmingham, Joey Solomon and wife Ning of Memphis, and Ken Solomon of Memphis; great nephews, Joel Young of Birmingham, Nick Solomon, Will Solomon and James Solomon all of Memphis; and great nieces, Leslie and Catherine Solomon of Memphis.
Pallbearers will be nephews and cousins, Ty Askew and Larry Holley.
