Grace Thomas Profile Photo Grace Estelle Manasco Thomas, 95, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her home in Amory. Born in Amory on September 24, 1928, she was the daughter of Audi and Thelma Grizzle Manasco. She attended school in Amory and was the widow of Clarence D. Thomas whom she married on May 9, 1952. She became a homemaker when her daughter was born. She enjoyed walking and being outdoors and could often be seen with her dog, Annie who was a constant companion in her later years. Grace was a devoted member of the Amory Church of Christ where she served selflessly helping others and preparing meals; and for many years, she was the custodian.

 A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024 at the Amory Historical Cemetery with Philip Hathcock officiating. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Bill Thomas of Amory; granddaughter, Mary Comer Walters of Virginia; and great granddaughter, Annalynn Walters; her special caretaker, Kim Jarrett; and the staff of Legacy Hospice, Caitlyn Hawkins, Angela Clay, and NeNe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her daughter, Judy Lynn Thomas Comer.

Pallbearers will be Michael Simpson, Tommy Justice, John Ross Comer, John Comer, Jay Barton Vaughn, Tim Dickerson, Shayne Grant, and Jake Stanford. Honorary pallbearers will be James Leo Segars, Philip Hathcock, James Wyers, and the elders and deacons of the Amory Church of Christ.
