Governor “Buster” Clements Campbell, age 76 of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Tri Star Summit Medical Center. Buster was born on November 1, 1947, in Kentucky to the late Vernon Gaston Campbell and Reba Jane (Leek) Campbell. He retired after many years in the trucking and warehouse industry. In his spare time, Buster enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed opening his house to care for and feed many animals. Buster was a devoted family man even though he never had children of his own. He was always surrounded by family and loved his brothers, sisters-in-law, and their children. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his big giving heart and was always there to help anyone in need. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Campbell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie (Judy) Campbell, Roy Campbell, Willie (Wilma) Campbell, James Campbell and Billy Campbell; nephews, Johnny Campbell and Lee Campbell. Buster is survived by his sisters-in-law, Eunice Campbell, Janie Campbell and Mildred Campbell; nieces, Rhonda Thomas, Nancy Fortner, Tammy Maynard, Marsha Campbell, Cindy Locke, Alicia Henry and Debbie Newell; nephews, Ronnie Campbell, Donnie Campbell, Doyle Campbell and Ray Campbell; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Mt.
