Gordon Parker age 77 of Sulligent, AL passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
Born August 22, 1942 in Vernon, AL he is the Son of the late Charlie Andrew and Elna Mae McDaniel Parker and the Husband of the late Geneva White Parker. He had lived in Hamilton, MS for 28 years and Sulligent, AL for the past 3 years. He was a mechanic, a truck farmer and an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved telling jokes and was a great prankster. He also loved spending time with friends and his Union Chapel church family.
He is survived by 2 Daughters, Linda Gale Parker of Sulligent, AL, and Patricia (Rickey) Carroll of Fayette, AL, Step Daughter, Lisa (Kenny) Flippo of Hamilton, MS, 2 Sons, Larry (Linda) Parker of Peppertown, MS and Roy (Keela) Parker of Sulligent, AL, 10 Grandchildren, Kevin Flippo, Jason (April) Garrison, Lyndsee Spears, Matt (Samatha) Bradford, Jonathan (Madelon) Flippo, Jordyn (Jimmy) Blaylock, Talynn Glasgow, Mercede Plumb, Peyton Parker and Andrew Parker, 6 Great Grandchildren, Christopher Bradford, Jacey Garrison, Millaray Garrison, Kayden Rollins, Karter Plumb and Korbin Plumb, a Sister, Gloria Brock of Millport, AL and 2 Brothers, Cecil Parker of Birmingham, AL and George (Sheila) Parker of Spanish Fort, AL and a host of Nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a Granddaughter, Scottie Cheyenne Logan, a Great Grandson, Jaxson Blaylock, 4 Sisters, Thelma Rye, Polly Glasgow, Iris Mayfield, and Edith Kemp and 5 Brothers, Lester, Lee, Earl, Arnold and Emery Parker.
Services held Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the Union Chapel Baptist Church with Burial in the Bethel Cemetery in Vernon. Bro. B.J. Mills officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday 11:00 Am – 1:00 pm at the church.
