Goldie Eller Durham, 92, of Fort Payne, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023. She was born May 21, 1930 to the late Burt Eller and Ollie Owen Eller. Her entire family was musical and she enjoyed singing and playing the guitar in her early years with her sisters “The Eller Sisters”. Later in life, she suffered physically, so it is such a comfort to her family to know that today, she is free and whole.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Adamsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her daughter Connie McPherson; son-in-law Charles Rains; granddaughters Kiley Coan and husband Kitt and Jacy Sauls and husband Trevor; great-granddaughters Kamryn and Kaylee Coan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Jack Durham, daughter Sandra Rains, and siblings Son, Jessie, Dump, Frankie, Tootsie, and Fannie.
