A Celebration of Life service for Gloria W. Meeks, 93 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mrs. Meeks passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born March 19, 1929 in Corinth MS to L. J. Westbrook and Ida Mae Haley Westbrook. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and graduated from Corinth High School. She enjoyed telling jokes, liked to sew and travel, especially going to the Smoky Mountains. She loved her family and spending time with them and her church family. Gloria is survived by her sons, Russell Meeks and wife Laura Beth and Mark Meeks and wife Kim; her daughter, Phyllis Meeks Dunn; 8 grandchildren, Sharon Woodruff, Haley Thrasher (Jeremy), Jason Meeks (Lacey), Joshua Meeks (Jamie), Lindsey Beck (Wilson), Alison Miller, Ava Meeks and Katie Meeks; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Marvin Meeks; her grandson, David Dunn; her son-in-law, Roy Dunn; her daughter-in-law, Lynette Meeks; her father, L.J. Westbrook; her mother, Ida Mae Haley Westbrook and her brothers, Charles Westbrook (Ernestine) and James Westbrook (Laura). Pallbearers will be Jason Meeks, Joshua Meeks, Jeremy Thrasher, Jordan Woodruff, Matthew Woodruff and Bryson Meeks; Honorary pallbearers will be Brentyn Meeks, Andrew Meeks, Memphis Beene, Jayden Meeks, Avery Beck, Jase Woodruff, Dawson Woodruff, Jett Meeks and Asher Beck. In Lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to the Shiloh Baptist Church Building Fund. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Gloria W. Meeks.
