Gloria Jean Hillard Wigginton, age 78, passed away September 12, 2024, at Northbrooke Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson.
She was born March 5, 1946, at Finger, TN, grew up in McNairy County, the daughter of the late John Ernest and Irene Robison Hillard Meyers. She attended school at Bethel Springs. She was a beautician, owning and operating, Jean’s Boutique for fifteen years.
She was a member of the Sanford Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wigginton is survived by two daughters, Dixie Bullman (Johnny) of Henderson and Destiny Wigginton of Henderson; grandchildren, Alli Beth Stephenson, Dayton Hayes Wigginton, JorDana Ray Jenkins, Elacey Crouse (Jeremy), Anna Pearl Bullman and Dawson Jarrett; one great grandchild, Dixon Crouse; three brothers, Ronnie Meyers of Yuma, AZ, Bobby Meyers of Brownsville, TN and Randy Meyers of Jackson, TN; three sisters, Bonnie Wamble of Jackson, Barbara Robichaux of Bastrop, TX and Cindy Reemes of Memphis, TN, an aunt, Kate Sanford of Troy, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Deanna Jarrett (2014); a brother, Mike Hillard (2014)
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 14th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Shane Connor officiating. Burial will follow at Old Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time on Saturday.
