Ms. Gloria “Faye” Wilson, age 82, of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024 at her residence and under hospice care. Ms. Wilson was born May 22, 1941 in Morgan County, AL the daughter of Elbert Lee West and Helen Louise McCutcheon West. Her husband, Pete Wilson, preceded her in death.
Faye was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved and appreciated each and every member of her family. Many days were spent on Lake Guntersville, where she enjoyed camping, fishing and making memories that will be cherished by those who loved her so dearly.
Faye leaves behind a loving family which includes her sons, Tim Wilson and Barry “Dinky” Wilson (Tammy); her daughters, Cindy Swafford (Robert) and Sandra Casey; brother, Larry West (Renae); twelve grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Pete Wilson; parents, Elbert and Helen West; brothers, Billy West and Kenneth West; sisters, Imogene West and Christine Hill.
Family, friends and guest will gather for a visitation to honor Gloria on Wednesday night, March 13, 2024 at 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Holiness Church in Lacey’s Spring, AL. The funeral service will be Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Corey Morrow officiating. Interment will follow at Fields Cemetery (Lacey’s Spring)
Escorting Faye to her final resting place will be Mathew Wilson, Lucas Wilson, Phillip Casey, Zachary Wilson, Hunter Swafford and Colton Swafford.
