Gloria Darlene Hobbs Thomason, 87, retired owner of Po’Boy Restaurant and Country Boy One Stop and formally a resident of Columbia, died Sunday, September 18, 2022 at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Danny Lunn and Harold Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Shane Cemetery in the Culleoka Community. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at ww.oakesandnichols.com.
Born September 18, 1935 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Howard C. Hobbs and the late Mae Burns Hobbs. She married Arzo Junior Thomason who preceded her in death in 1994. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Thomason spent many weekends dancing. She was a member of Campbell Station Church of Christ.
Survivors include her grandsons, Josh Thomason of Culleoka; Brandon (Julie) Dodson of Santa Fe; great grandchildren, Mason Thomason, Maverick “Brady” Thomason, Riley Dodson, Adelyn Dodson, Lucy Dodson, and William Dodson; and special friend, Harold Cox.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Thomason.
Active pallbearers will be Josh Thomason, Brandon Dodson, Harold Cox, Joey Allen, Brandon Jones, Donnie Joe Cothran, Austin Hazlett, and Kaleb Hazlett.
