Gloria Daphne Lankford, 57 of Prospect, Tennessee died on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at her home.
Born Friday, April 27, 1956 in Huntsville, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late James Strickland and Geneva Hovis Strickland. She was preceded in death by her father, and a daughter: Daphne Lankford. She loved singing gospel music and was a very happy person.
Surviving are her husband: Charles Clayton Lankford of Prospect, TN; sons, Charles Eddie Lankford of Prospect, TN, James R. Lankford of Prospect, TN, Curtis Adam Lankford of Prospect, TN and Alex Lyle Lankford of Prospect, TN, her mother: Geneva Strickland of Harvest, AL; brothers, Ronnie Strickland of NC, Ricky Vann of Harvest, AL, Mike Strickland of AL and Phillip Strickland of New Market, AL, sisters, Sandra Vann of Rainbow City, AL and Susie Strickland of NC; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June5, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will be in Ford’s Chapel Cemetery, Harvest, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
