Glinda E. Strickland, 67, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born in Gary, Indiana, and was owner of a parts store for 35 years. She was a member of Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church.
Services will be Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church, Red Bay, with Brother Steve Lindsay and Brother David Corum officiating. Burial will be in Berry Cemetery, Red Bay.Deaton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 1, 2017, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors are her children, Sandy Strickland Collins (Michael) and Rodney Strickland (Tasha), all of Red Bay, Brad and Tina Williams, Nashville, Tennessee and Jonathan Humphres, Red Bay; grandchildren, Karli McCoy, Ethan McCoy, Cobey Collins, Blake-Lee Dexter, Brock Dexter, Raylin Strickland, Kristen Williams, Kullen Williams, and Justin Humphres; seven sisters, Lonette Smith, Pat Lovall, Debbie Pfeiffer, Janice Humphres, Janey Dill, Lynn Sharp, and Donna Evetts; one brother, Bill Petree; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don Strickland (Sherry), James Fennell (Kay), and Clara Hester (Kelly); and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Strickland; parents, James Evetts and Jean Evetts; and mother, Lorene McCoy Petree.
Pallbearers will be Brad Williams, James Evetts, Chris Blackburn, Jacob Pfeiffer, Josh Pfeiffer, Donavan Ziels, Jeff Strickland, Greg Strickland, Wesley Bohannon, Jonathan Humphres, Brandon Brazil, Ethan McCoy, Brock Deter, Cobey Collins, Eli Crandall, Jordan Ziels, and Dexter Evetts.
