Glennis Louise Colbert, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the age of 82. Her visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. She will be buried in Old Bethel Cemetery.
Glennis was a native of Colbert County and attended Harmony Freewill Baptist Church and Old Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy H. Colbert; brothers, Billy, Hollis, and Donald South; and three grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, James Horward and Jimmy Leith Colbert; daughters, Toni Lee Dawson (Thomas Lendon), Cheryl McClure (Thomas Edward), and Margene Stonecipher; sisters-in-law, Barbara, Rose, and Carol South; brother-in-law, Robert Colbert (Elizabeth); 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mannon McClure, Kalen Dawson, Andy Colbert, Ethan Colbert, Ryan Stonecipher, and Rawlie South.
