Glenn Robert Huskey, lovingly referred to as Grandaddy, age 81 of Elora, TN, left this world on May 14, 2024 with his family by his side. Glenn was born July 24, 1942 in Alabama to James Glenn Huskey and Ruthie Mae Talley, who precedes him in death as well as his siblings Jessie Rae Huskey, James Melvin Huskey and Larry Jean Huskey.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 61 years, Emma Joan Huskey, their daughter Vickie Huskey Fanning, grandsons Adam (Amber) Fanning of Murfreesboro, TN, Chris (Alicia) Fanning of Belvidere, TN, Matthew (Krista) Fanning of Huntland, TN, a sister Patsy (Richard) Tumlin of Huntsville, AL, a brother Arthur Thomas (Ellie) Huskey, eight great grandchildren: Braydon, Owen, Jentri, Kamdyn, Huck, Emmett, Wyatt, and Bridgett Fanning.
Glenn was a graduate of Hazel Green High School, and was a member of Charity Baptist Church. He and his bride were married November 21, 1962. Glenn owned and operated Plasform, INC. until the time of his retirement in 2017. In Glenn’s younger years, he and Joan enjoyed going to boat shows, spending time on the lake, and watching their grandsons play ball. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved working in his garden and on his farm. He was a jack of all trades. He loved porch sitting with his wife, and Sunday visits with his family. Glenn was a hardworking man who was dedicated to his family. He will be remembered for his kind gentle heart, and easy going nature.
A visitation for Glenn will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a celebration of life service to occur Friday, May 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Glenn will be laid to rest in Valhalla Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd, NE Huntsville, AL 35811 immediately following the service.
