Glenda Mae Newton Sharp, 80, of Florence, passed away January 18, 2015 at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. She was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 10 am. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Rich Hardeman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Sharp; parents, Baxter Paul and Esther Newton; sisters, Anita Hensley, and Gloria Cole; and an infant grandson, Brandon Lee Sharp.
She is survived by a son, Bobby Sharp (Sonia); daughters, Tammy Risner (Greg), and Becky McCune (Scott); grandchildren, Julie McCune (Daniel Day), Laney Risner, Anna and Daniel Sharp; and brothers, Ronald and Harry Newton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
