Glenda Jo Kennedy Wilbourn Phillips, age 79 of Fayetteville, TN, the Great-Grand Matriarch of the Wilbourn/Phillips family stepped out of her earthly, Leukemia diseased body and accepted her perfect, heavenly body and crown on January 2, 2023.
Granny Jo, as most everyone called her, was born March 18, 1943, in Gurley, Alabama. Those family members who greeted her in heaven include Parents: Alonzo Odell and Mae Milliner Kennedy, Husband: Robert Wilbourn, Jr., Brother: James Kennedy, Sisters: Frances Bissell, Bettye Sue Miller, Atha Foote, Husband: Roy E. Phillips, Grandsons: Brent Wise and Danny Phillips.
Those that will carry on the Wilbourn/Phillips family legacy include Daughter: Jean (Doug) Warnberg, Son: Jimmy (Ellie) Wilbourn, Daughter: Kira (George) Downs, Sons: John (Patty) Phillips and Roark (Terrie) Phillips. Grandchildren: Josh (Natalie) Click, Beth (Shadrack) Okech, Ashley (Brian) Bowers, Jake (Alyssa) Wilbourn, Luke Phillips, Seth Phillips, Wyatt Phillips, Brandi (Adam) Welch. Great-Grandchildren: Jude Click, Saul Click, Joshua Click, Jr., Parker Click, Bella Click, Beau Click, Dave Okech, Baby Bowers, Hadley Wilbourn, Reagan Wilbourn, Carver Phillips, Sawyer Welch, and Charli Welch. As well as brother Dean (Linda) Kennedy, several nieces, nephews, and special friend Patsy LeCroy.
You are invited to a celebration of the life and legacy of our Mom, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, friend and most importantly, Follower of Jesus Christ at Park City Baptist Church 2809 Huntsville Highway, Fayetteville, Tennessee Visitation: Monday, January 9 th , 11 am until 1 pm. Service to immediately follow. Funeral procession will form after the service, and we will gather at: Valhalla Memory Gardens 698 Winchester Road NE, Huntsville, Alabama for the burial.
