Funeral Services for Mrs. Glenda Gail Boyd Poore, age 73 of Lineville, will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. David Holcombe officiating. Burial will follow at the Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Poore passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Clay County Hospital. She was born and raised in Clay County and was a lifelong resident. She worked at D&L Auto Parts in Carrollton, Georgia, but primarily worked for Wellborn Cabinets for several years until she retired. Mrs. Poore enjoyed tending to her garden and her flowers, as well as mining and collecting Gemstones. She had a big, caring heart, and loved spending time with her family as often as she could. Mrs. Poore attended Delta Independent Church.
Mrs. Poore is survived by three sons: Larry Poore (Chasity) of Bowdon, GA, Kevin Poore and Chris Poore (Heather), both of Lineville; four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Debra Morris (Wayne) of Lineville, Kay Boyd of Munford, and Donna Gortney (Bill) of Ashland; two brothers: Bruce Boyd (Jo) of Lineville and Michael Boyd (Tammy) of Ashland; and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James Uras and Avis Ingram Boyd; one sister, Reba Boyd; and one brother, Alan Boyd.
Scott Summey, Ben Harper, Dustin Buchanan, Ladamian Boyd, Tyler Boyd, and Taylor Boyd will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Poore will have a visitation on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
