Glenda Faye Lankford age 63 of Athens, passed away Sunday, August 14 2016 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Lankford was born October 15, 1952 in Limestone County, AL to Nathaniel Garner and Mable Sales Garner.
Services will be Thursday, August 18, 2016 12:00 p.m., at Lucas Street Church of Christ with Earnest Campbell officiating. The body will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Thatch Mann Cemetery.
Preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Sammie Langford.
Survived by her husband, Jerry Lankford; four daughters, Stacey Lankford, Stephanie Lankford Bowdre, Whitney Lankford and Kelly Madden; 14 grandchildren, Taylor Hall, Jaylan Caldwell, Michael Boley, Jr., Tyson Lankford, Charleece Bowdre’, Da’liyah Jones, Jadeyn Bowdre’, Jakiera Jones, Kyra Madden, Silas Blankenship, Xavier Bowdre’, Makenzie Madden, Camden McLin and Kingston Madden; two sisters, Joyce Watkins and Robbie Malone; three brothers, Nathaniel Garner, Jr., Danny Garner and Gregory Garner; several nieces and nephews.
