Glenda Fay Strait 73 of Sheffield, AL passed away Monday, January 18, 2016. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday January 20, 2016 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, AL. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Tuscumbia Oakwood Cemetery. Terry Jones will officiate.
Glenda was a native of Pride, AL and a longtime resident of Sheffield, AL. She was a graduate of Mars Hill Bible School and Larimore Business College. For 49 years she was a legal secretary and office manager for various attorney’s offices. She was a member of the Annapolis Ave. Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Clarence Whiteside and Addi Waddell Whiteside parents Clarence Whiteside, Jr. and Ruby Rikard Whiteside; brother Gerald Steven Whiteside and step-mother Margaret Rich Whiteside.
Survivors are her sons Donald Eugene “Donnie” Strait (Teresa) and Ellis Edward “Eddie” Strait (Monica); brother Philip Whiteside (Pam); grandchildren Jonathan Strait, Justin Strait, Corey Strait, Kaylee Strait and step-grandchildren Josh Lindsey, Jonathan Lindsey, Jeremy Lindsey (Alli), Austen Alexander and Ethan Alexander.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
