Glenda Ann Mitchell, 76 of Tuscumbia, went home to be with her heavenly father surrounded by her family and loved ones on Sunday, December 17, 2023. Her visitation will be Wednesday, December 20th from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Family Worship Center, Tuscumbia. Her service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Jerry Hester and Tanner Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Mitchell; and son, Thomas Lee Mitchell. Glenda was a native and lifelong resident of Colbert County. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Glenda is survived by her children, Emmett J. Mitchell (Shari), Monica Mitchell Black (Craig); grandchildren, Lee Mitchell, Tanner Mitchell (Cathy), Kaitlyn Mitchell (Jeffrey), Chaney Beth Black, and Briley Black; great-grandchildren, Houston Mitchell and Ellanie Mitchell; and sister, Linda McDougal.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Mitchell, Steve Benson, Carl Tubbs, Chris Dickey, James Willis, and Chase Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be Triston LaCross and Jared Borden.
