Glen Clark Brown, 68, of Bridgeville, California, peacefully went to be with his Lord on Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at his home.
Glen was born in Decatur on Dec. 23, 1947, where he grew up as a member of Central Baptist Church. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1966 and then served four years in the United States Air Force. He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Forestry in 1978 and worked in his family’s business, Arthur Brown & Sons, Inc. He lived in Jasper with his family and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In 2005, Glen retired and moved to Bridgeville in the Redwood Empire Region of California.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Hayes and Mary Brown; his sister, Sophie Brown Gorton and brother in law, Don Gorton.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kay LeNoir Brown; his two sons, Jesse and Elliot Brown of Bridgeville, California; his daughter, Annie Brown Aaron (Kory) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, his two grandsons, Darby and Dane; and his sister, Ethel Brown Shariett (Allen), Decatur. He is also survived by an uncle, aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins that loved him dearly.
We are so thankful to have known and loved Glen and we will miss his knowledge, strength and his free spirit. No arrangements have been made at this time.
