Glen A. Martin, age 75, of Athens, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at his residence.Glen is survived by his daughter Christy Brewer (Jamie); his son Jeff Martin (Annie); his sisters Ann Sledge and Brenda Brown; his grandchildren Baylee Brewer, Logan Martin, Kayla Martin, Mason West, his great grandchild Stella Martin, Leon Martin, RJ Turner. Glen was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn (Susie) Martin, by Brothers, Al Martin, Bobby Martin, Billy Martin, Lonnie Martin, Ike Martin and by his sisters Glenda Campbell and Carol Martin.
Glen was a member of the Baptist faith and was retired from Delphi after 32 years of service. Glen was an Army Veteran serving in Korea and was an avid Alabama fan and Golfer.
A visitation for Glen will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at McConnell Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM at McConnell Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Brother James Turner and David Brand. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Lance Martin, Allen Brown, Jerrell Martin, Jamie Brewer, Logan Martin and Chris Kellum. Honorary pallbearers will be, Larry Dunn, Charlie Williams, Jim Turner, Tyler Stevens, Mason West and Justin Commiskey.
