Gladys Thelma Curnutt, age 70, Russellville, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at North Alabama Medical Center.
Gladys loved her family more than anything, and loved to cut up, laugh, and smile. She will be fondly remembered by her family as “Grumblin Gladys”, and will be missed by all who knew her.
The visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Bill Thorn. Burial will be at Tharptown Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lassie Lorene Smith Fretwell; father, James Bascomb Fretwell; brothers, Bobby Gene Fretwell, William Larry Fretwell, Charles Thomas Fretwell; and sister, Shirley Ann Canup.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Robby Curnutt; grandson, Robby Lane Curnutt; siblings, Ray Fretwell (wife, Betty), Benny Fretwell (wife, Kathie), Gary Fretwell (wife, Brenda), Denise Pounders, Randy Fretwell, Ronald Fretwell (wife, Renee), John Fretwell; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Ricky Canup, Chris Fretwell, Shane Fretwell, Steven King, Alex McClusky, and Billy Weatherbee.
The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to Kindred Home Health and her nurse, Micki McNatt, and to the nurses and staff of North Alabama Medical Center for your love and care.
