Gladys Mae Harper, 93, of Madison, AL, passed away on Monday, July 29th, 2024. Mrs. Harper was born on April 15th, 1931, in Alabama, to Samuel and Jessie Moore.
Mrs. Harper is survived by her son Jerry Harper (Peggy) of Madison, AL; daughters Jan Compton of Cleveland, TN, and Susan Hunt (Jim) of Madison, AL; grandchildren Jason Harper, Shiloh Harper, Clint Howard (Megan), Jennifer Hunt, and Mindy Hunt; thirteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Jessie Moore; husband Charlie Harper; and granddaughter Chenequa Looper.
The graveside service for Mrs. Harper will be Friday, August 2nd, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Memorial Gardens, with Lannie Towe officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 2nd, from 12:00 to 1:50 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Clint Howard, Jason Harper, Hunter Howard, Gage Harper, Kent Towe, and Don Thompson. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Harper was a member of Greenbriar Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers. She loved being with her family.
