Gladys Dickens, 87, of Decatur, passed away December 8, 2013, while at home.
Gladys is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Dickens; son, Phil Dickens and his wife, Karen; daughter, Carol DeVor and her husband, Mike; and grandchildren, Elyse and Alex DeVor. Robert and Gladys lived most of their lives in the Kansas City, Missouri, area, and had been in Decatur for 10 years.
Gladys “Babe” Dickens was content to be a wife, mother, grandmother and housewife. All titles to be proud of when carried with grace, compassion, humor, and a sweet love that could not be contained. Our family and friends, and mom’s Epic Church family will dearly miss her feisty spirit, her joy and light.
A visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home tonight from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley or Epic Church Building Fund.
