Gladys Arlene Whittenburg, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, age 82 of the Fall Creek Falls Community went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2023. She was a retired seamstress, a prayer warrior, good God-fearing woman, and so many things to so many people.

Gladys was preceded in death by father; William Clint Walker, mother; Hattie Lou Haston Walker, stepmother; Edna Mae Walker, husband of fifty-seven years; Elbert Whittenburg, daughter; Kelsey Whittenburg, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many cousins.

Gladys is survived by son; Tim (Zaroki) Whittenburg, daughters; Diane (Wesley Keener), Shirley (Ronnie Oakes) and Makayla (Matthew VanWinkle), siblings; Janice (the late Terry Wooden), Melvin (the late Linda Sue Walker), Sheila (Wendell Oakes), and Roger (Margie Walker), grandchildren; Ashlyn Hale, Layla Hale, Arianna VanWinkle, Lydia “Gracie” VanWinkle, and Seth VanWinkle. Special long-time friends; Daisy Presley and Martha Jones. A host of many family and friends. She touched the lives and hearts of everyone who knew her, she is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 26, 2023 at 3:00pm at New Martin Church of God with bro. Clifford Waters and Bro. Andy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Myers Cemetery. Visitation days are; Thursday August 24th 12 noon till 9:00pm, Friday August 25th 9:00amto 9:00pm and Saturday August 26th 9:00am till time of service at 3:00pm.

The visitations and service will be held at New Martin Church of God.
