Gladys Ailene Fanning Tipton, 96, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on July 28, 2022. Gladys was born in New Market, Alabama on July 21, 1926 to Walter and Mary Willie Fanning. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil M. Tipton, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cecil M. Tipton, Jr. (Peggy S.), Ritchie L. Tipton (Marianne), Debbie Maples (Donald), Jeffrey Tipton (Vicki), Andrew Tipton (Peggy M.); 9 grandchildren; 9 great children and special friends, Yvonne Turner and Adarius Hicks.
Gladys dedicated her life to her husband of 62 years and the “mothering” of their five children. She took pride in being a wife and mother and it was the most important job she could have. Gladys was a faithful servant of the Church of Christ.
You may visit with the family on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services, officiated by Clifton Mann, will begin at 12:00pm in Valhalla’s Celebration Chapel. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Chapel Garden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to research to Alzheimer’s Organization.
