Funeral for Ginger Murphy-Long, 66, of Decatur will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Long who died Saturday August 6, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital was born on July 8, 1950, in Morgan County, AL.
Mrs. Murphy died Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born July 8, 1950 in Morgan County. She was a member of chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ezra Sides and Jerry Nelson. Also an infant son, Shannon Olen Murphy; father, Van Olen Murphy; and brother, Ricky Van Murphy.
Survivors include her mother, Norma Jean Milton; two sisters, Savann Beason and husband Jerry, and Tammy Brown and husband Lavern; one brother, Tom Murphy and many nieces and nephews. She was very devoted to her family and absolutely adored her nephews and nieces.
