A Time To Be Born
Ginger was one of five children born to the late Detory and Ophie Dabbs
Whitfield in Monroe County, MS. Our beloved Ginger left this earthly life on
August 31, 2023, 2:00 a.m. at St Francis Hospital, Memphis Tn into the open
arms of her creator.
A Time To Learn
Ginger received formal education and graduated from Sims High School in
1955 and continued her studies at Rust College and Jackson State University in
Jackson, MS.
She was a dedicated school teach for over 40 years for Lee County Public School
System. Ginger touched many students’ lives being a mother to many.
Ginger was united in holy matrimony to Gene Stone and later married to
Charlie Seals. They both precede her in death.
A Time To Be Saved
Ginger’s religious encounter with Jesus Christ began at an early age,
worshiping at Spring Hill MB Church and continued faithfully until her health
declined. Ginger loved the Lord and enjoyed her lifelong worship at Spring Hill
where she served in many capacities. She favored singing to the Lord with the
choir. Even in her last days at St Francis, she didn’t talk much, but was often
heard singing to the Lord by the nurses and staff.
A Time to Die
She loved life and lived it the best way she knew how. On Thursday morning
August 31st @ 2:00 a.m. God put closure to Ginger’s earthly book of life.
