Gilda Charlotte Tipton 77 of Anniston passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024 at a family home embraced by immediate and extended family.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gary Ross Tipton; daughters, Lavona Mickler, Wendy Mickler, Tara Tipton; by her siblings, Marcia and Rhonda; grandchildren; Javier Esparza (Diana), Rebecca Esparza (Daniel), Valarie Gilbert (Patrick), Alex Esparza, Michael Mendez, Melanie Mendez, Mikayla Tipton; and by her great-grandchildren; Hally, Andria, and Alayna.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Alkus Mickler; and her parents, Agnes Simmons Ballard and Carl Ballard.
Gilda was a homemaker, and had worked as a secretary in the past in education. She was a loving and caring person who enjoyed sewing, gardening and antiques. She cherished the time she spent with both her family and her spiritual family of her fellow Jehovah’s Witness. No one will forget her smile or her giving nature.
