Gilbert William Moeller, 93, went onto to Greener farm pastures in Heaven after departing this life on February 22, 2024, at Diversicare Health and Rehabilition Center in Ripley.

Born August 9, 1930, in his childhood home in Crawford County, Iowa, Mr. Moeller was the son of the late John and Edna Moeller. His love for farming started at a very young age, as he always had choirs to do around the home from milking the cows, gathering eggs, and feeding the pigs. He received his education from the Denison Public School System and proudly served his country in the United States Army. After returning home from his service he continued his passion for farming and on May 8, 1993, married his beloved wife, Carolyn McDavid Moeller who survives.

Together they worked as a team and built a life doing what they loved. Never one to shy away from work, Mr. Moeller was continually working on fences, hauling hay on his tractor and tending to his cows. He loved all of God’s creation and being in it as much as possible. When he wasn’t tending to the farm, he was caring for his loving wife, Carolyn. They spent thirty wonderful years together, enjoying all the simple things life had to offer. Above all, he was a faithful Christian and true follower of Christ. Mr. Moeller revered his farm and family and lived a full life devoted to God and his Kingdom, where he now resides eternally.

In addition to his wife of thirty years, Carolyn McDavid Moeller, he also leaves his daughter, Carmen Redditt (Robert).

Since Mr. Moeller had a deep love for all animals, the family request that donation be directed to any local animal shelter in his memory.

Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories.
