Gerry Wayne Sanford, 67, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015, peacefully at his residence. Mr. Sanford attended the Valley Grove Baptist Church, he served in the U.S. Army, and he retired from Delphi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Alvigene Sanford; a granddaughter, Haley Sanford; and a brother, Douglas Sanford.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Sanford; a son, Sandy Sanford; step-son, Chad Brannon; three grandchildren, Peyton, Lily and Ethan; and his (best buddy) Zeke.
Visitation will be Monday, August 24, 2015, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage with Brother Wayne Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
