Gerry Ronald HillGerry Ronald Hill, 67, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, at UAB Medical. Born on April 22, 1957, to the late Edgar Lane and Lamurl Hill, Gerry led a life filled with faith, love, and dedication to serving others.

For 25 years, Gerry was a devoted member of The Fellowship Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher, sharing his profound knowledge of scripture and passion for witnessing about his Lord and Savior.
Known affectionately as “Popsie” by his nine grandchildren and countless others, Gerry’s world revolved around his role as their beloved grandfather. He poured his heart into their lives, creating special memories, cheering on their endeavors, and sharing his faith with them. Gerry never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel like family.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ramona Bonds Hill; daughter, Courtney (Eric) Waldrop; cherished grandchildren, Saylor, Bridge, Wales, Blu, Layke, Tag, Rivers, Rawlings, and Rayne; sister, Sue (Allen) Gentry; and special friends, Jud and Linda Reynolds. In addition to his parents, Gerry was preceded in death by his twin brother, Jerry Hill, and brother, Edgar Wayne.

A celebration of Gerry’s life will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 12:00 PM at The Fellowship Church, with visitation beginning two hours prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Memory Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers escorting Gerry to his final resting place will include Eric Waldrop, Saylor Waldrop, Wales Waldrop, Jud Reynolds, Blu Waldrop, Layke Waldrop, and Tag Waldrop.
Gerry’s unwavering faith, love for his family, and kind spirit will be forever cherished by all who knew him.
