Geraldine S. Perkins, 78 of Arab, passed away Saturday April 21, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Perkins was born April 21, 1940 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to Robert Shannon and Amy Beatrice Grissom Shannon. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved life, enjoyed attending church and gospel singings. Her favorite pass time was going fishing.
She was a member of Happy Home Baptist Church in Guntersville.
Mrs. Perkins is survived by her daughter: Marie Perkins; her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jennifer Moneyham and Terry, Shannon Hayes, Cody Hayes, LeAnn Hayes, Zachary Mooneyham and Abbie Mooneyham; her sisters: Verna Bailey and Imogene Ray. She was preceded by her husband: Leonard Perkins; her parents: Robert and Amy Beatrice Shannon; her brothers and sisters: Lavone Shannon, Jay Shannon, Johnny Shannon, Margie Ann Johnson and Mary Audine Slocumb.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday April 25, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother Neil Fossett, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Terry Mooneyham, Cecil Smith, Dean Mashburn, Mark Morrow and Lamar Slaton.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday April 24, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
