Geraldine May Aldridge Hendrixson entered eternal rest on September 2, 2024 at her home at the age of 91.
She was known affectionally by her family and friends as Geri. She was an esteemed alumna of Wynne High
School, Wynne, AR, and played first string guard on the basketball team her Junior and Senior year, the team
winning all state, graduating in 1950.
Geri’s first job was working in the office at Fair Oaks Rice Dryer, Fair Oaks, Ark. After her children were born,
she worked on the Naval Base in Millington and fondly remembered as the manager of the Chief Petty Officer
Club for many years. She was owner operator of a Cookie/Bakery store, and worked one season auditing
income tax returns for IRS. Geri’s last business venture was owner operator of a Chicken Egg farm in Crane
Hill, Alabama.
Geri, a beacon of unwavering friendship and kindness, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were
fortunate enough to know her. She was always determined and independent and continued to be so in her
final months of life.
She was a member and very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Preceded in death her husband of 47 years, Tom Aldridge, and her husband of 16 years, Jack Hendrixson. She
is survived by her children: Mariette Wood (Jim), Thomas Heflin Aldridge, Jr Jeffrey Aldridge (LaVonne),
Grandchildren: Aundrea, Juli Blue, Justin, Crystal, Tre, Thomas, Lindsey, Abigail, also loving grandmother to
Zachary, Shani, Shelby, Jaxon.
Great Grandchildren: Ashley, Maegan, Chloe, Jacob, Ashlyn, Skylar, Avery May, Maggie, Juni, Rowan, Peyton,
Myles.
Great Great Grandchildren: Julian, Walker

She was the daughter of Herman and Mariette Stewart, Fair Oaks, Ark.
Survived by her Sisters: Mary Jane Kennon, Ruth Joyner, Brother preceded in death, Bill Stewart
Very grateful to Amedisys Hospice service for their support near the end of her.
We invite all who cherished Geri to join us in a ceremony of remembrance at 11 am with service at 12 pm on September 11, at Forest Hill Funeral Home, 2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, where we will share stories, laughter and tears just as Geri would have wished.
Burial immediately following at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest-Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN.
