Georgie Lee Morgan, age 86, of Lexington, passed away Monday, November 21, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, November 24th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Mike Nash officiating. Burial will be at Center Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Morgan, Forrest Morgan, Anthony Weathers, Sam Newton, Phil Newton, and Chance Clayton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Morgan; son, Jeff Morgan; parents, Jinnie and Willie Morgan.
Survivors are his son, Tim Morgan (Toye); grandchildren, Ryan, Amber, Katie, Forrest, Sabian, and Camille; 15 great-grandchildren.
Georgie was owner and operator of George Morgan Builders. He was a member of the Baptist Fatih and served in the National Guard for over 6 years. He was a great father and mentor to his family. A special thanks to Dr. Felix Morris and staff at North Alabama Medical Center for their care.
