Mrs. Georgianne Marie Rice, 63, died Monday, May 29, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Germantown, TN following a brief illness. She was born January 29, 1954 in Braddock, Pennsylvania, to George and Anne Sabol. She spent her childhood years in Pennsylvania where she graduated high school and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Home economics. She married Brad Rice in Monroeville, PA, November 13, 1982 and became a loving wife and dedicated mother. She was a homemaker and received great joy in spoiling her children and her husband. She was an extraordinary cook, who will long be remembered for her baking, especially her Christmas cookies. Georgianne was a very talented seamstress, sewing drapes, doing needle point, painting ceramics, making stain glass, and remodeling.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to service time Saturday only.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Brad Rice of Tupelo, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA; two sons, Bradley David Rice, Jr. (Alison Marie) of Peoria, AZ, and Brandon Daniel Rice of Tupelo; one daughter, Melissa Anne Rice of Tupelo; one brother, Steve Sabol (Debbie) of North Versailles, PA, and a grandson, Bradley David Rice, III of Peoria, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents.
