Georgia Faye Hamrick, age 73 of Quinton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hillard and Ila Dean Chambers; son, Shannon Hamrick; brother-in-law, J.T. Robbins and nephew, Chris Chambers. Georgia is survived by her husband of 54 years, Terry Hamrick; son Jason Hamrick (Jennifer); brothers, Kevin Chambers (Rhonda) and Ronnie Chambers; sister-in-law, Freida Robbins; nephews, Jonathan Chambers, David Chambers (Amy), Ron Chambers (Traci), Jody Robbins (Stella), Scott Robbins (Laura); niece, Jill Cleghorn (Chuck) as well as a host of extended family and friends. Georgia was a gifted vocalist. She sang gospel music in numerous venues, churches and quartets. Georgia was also a lover of the Gulf Coast beaches, fishing camping, gardening and hummingbird watching. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. Services to honor her life will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral home on Friday, November 25, 2022. Visitation from 4:30-7:00 pm. Chapel service will begin at 7pm. A graveside service and burial will be held in Brasfield Cemetery on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 10:30 am.
