Georgia Earnest Hampton, 88, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015. She will be buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Mrs. Hampton was a native of Colbert County and was retired from South Central Bell. She was a member of York Terrace Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jerry R. Hampton, daughter, Linda L. Hampton, and six Earnest family brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Ronald Hampton and wife, Teresa; daughters, Patricia Ann Edwards and husband, Donnie, and Brenda Joyce Malone and husband, Doug; brothers, Lee and Robert Earnest; sisters, Beatrice Pruitt, Lucille Hughes, Betty Hicks, and Mary Hulett; five grandchildren, Christopher Malone and wife, Nicole, Jennifer Malone Berry and husband, Dwight, Bradley Hampton, Brooke Hampton Svoboda and husband, Mike, and Blake Hampton; and two great-grandchildren, Parker Svoboda and Cam Malone.
Pallbearers include Ron Hampton, Donnie Edwards, Doug and Chris Malone, Brad and Blake Hampton, Mike Svoboda, and Dwight Berry.
