On the morning of February 28, 2024, Georgia Ann Taylor, 82, resident of Ripley, departed this life at Resthaven Health and Rehabilitation surrounded by family.

Visitation for Mrs. Taylor will Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 9:30 am until time of service beginning at 11:00 am in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. Bro. Doc Shelton will officiate with burial following at Antioch Cemetery.

Born November 11, 1941, in Cambridge, Maryland, Mrs. Taylor is the daughter of the late Virgil Henry and Lillian Heart Trice. A graduate of North Dorchester High School in Hurlock, Maryland, she married the love of her life, Dale Clark Taylor on June 16, 1959, who preceded her in death. A housewife and homemaker for many years, Mrs. Taylor was also employed in the manufacturing industry. Mrs. Taylor will be fondly remembered for her joy of playing cards, board games, solving puzzles and watching westerns. Possessing a green thumb, she took great pride in raising flowers, especially roses. But Mrs. Taylor’s greatest love came from sharing time with her family and caring for stray animals that would appear at her home.

Those left to cherish her memories include two daughters, Teresa Durham of Ripley and Dee Hughes (Ricky) of Seaford, DE, three sons, Dale Taylor of Seaford, DE, Michael Taylor of Austinville, VA and Wayne Taylor of Ripley, eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Taylor is also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Trice.

Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories with the Taylor family.
