George William Barnes

Barnes, George William, age 86, of College Grove, TN passed away Thursday May 17,2018. Mr. Barnes was a retired owner operator of Barnes Plumbing, served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and a member of Oak Valley Baptist Church. Loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He loved God and was an Ordained Baptist Deacon.
Preceded in death by his Parents Buford T. and Waltina Warren Barnes, Sister, Louise Little, Brothers, Doug, Marvin, and Fred Barnes. Survived by his Wife of 63 years, Dorothy Rupley Barnes, Daughter, Carey (Rob) Payne, Sons, Wayne (Vicki) Barnes, Bryant (Lisa) Barnes, Grandchildren, David(Hannah) Barnes, Michael (Sara) Barnes, Lindsey (Jarrett) Gunnells, Nathan (Ashley) Miller, Jessica (Chrystian) Ramirez, Kristie (Jake) Tucker, and Eleven Great-Grandchildren.
Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday May 19, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Winfield officiating. Visitation with the family will be 4-8 PM Friday and one hour prior to the service. Burial in the College Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Grandchildren and Other Family Members. Honorary Pallbearers are The Believers and TLC Bible Classes. Memorials may be made to the Oak Valley Baptist Church.
